WM6.5 Panel Modifications (Weather, Contacts, Opera, Etc.)
 

I've mentioned this a couple times in some of the custom rom threads, and I thougth it might be beneficial to point the new 6.5 users in the right direction.

There has been a lot of work done customizing panels. I've included a couple screen shots to show the Opera Panel, Contacts Panel, and the Weather Panel.

Thanks must be given out to Hafrust who compiled the information, and to the developers at XDA (showaco, lpaso, tlogix, drkfngthdragnlrd) who have done a lot of the work!

good looking out. downloading now.

i am using this with JD's 21501 build and it installed just fine. there are a few small things i have noticed.

1. the "fave people" panel is lower case which does not make sense with the rest of the panels. this can be fixed in chrome config.
2. i really like the new notifications panel. i never understood why 6.5 needed a missed calls panel and a voicemail panel. i am hoping i can now disable both of those.
3. a windows live panel popped up and i cannot get it to go away.
4. in the new notifications panel the words are overlapping and jumbled when viewing a notification.
5. if one person sends you 2 sms messages you only get a count of 1. if 2 ppl each send you 1 sms you get a count of 2.
6. the weather panel cuts off the end of the "town, updated @ 12:34am" in portrait view.
7. there is a bogus time in the first forecast panel.
8. when the time is 4 digits the am/pm overlaps the last digit of the time.

Wow. you've done some nice testing in a short amount of time.

2. I removed mine with Ipaso's customizer
3. Havent seen the windows live panel yet

The rest I have noticed as well. I guess I should have mentioned that this is a Beta skin.

the wife is watching hgtv so that leaves me with the PC and the TP. another thing i noticed is this installs weather 2.1. 3a is out but installing that over this version shuts the whole thing down and you have ot remove everything and start over. i will play with it more tomorrow but so far i like it.

also i fixed issues 2 and 3 with reg edits. you go into HKLM\software\microsoft\chome\cvoicemail and change disabled to 1, copy that and past it into cphone. cwindowslive has the disabled key so you can just make that one 1 as well.

to fix 3 go to titaniumweather before you soft reset and delete and time key in the page 2 folder.

Its looks like 4,5, and 6 are fixed via the new beta 6.6. It sounds like they are close to going final. I am definitly not going back to standard.

i fixed 7 but forgot to post the fix. go into the registry in HKLM\software\microsoft\chome\titaniumweather\ and i think on page 2 there was a key that was "time" with 7:54 hard coded. delete it.

i believe #6, the issue with the "town, updated @ 12:34am" getting cut off can be fixed by adjusting the test size in the screen settings. i recently hard rest and installed this before going through the laundry list of setting changes and i noticed this time around this was not being cut off.
