Micro SDHC?

Does the HTC TP accept Micro SDHC? I just got my first HTC TP and wanted to get the most out of it, wasn't sure whether or not to get 8GB or 16GB.

Re: Micro SDHC?

Yes it does support microSDHC. HC denotes high capacity. IMO, a 16GB card isn't worth the price at the moment. I have a couple 8GB cards that I bought for $12 and a couple 1GB cards I use to store/flash ROMs. Try to get the highest class you can find in your price range. The higher class number means faster read/write speeds.

I got a Class 6 (the highest) 8GB from Newegg for like $16. 8GB is the sweet spot for price right now. SDHC supports up to 32GB which I don't even think exists in MicroSD at the moment.

yeah, I saw only 8GB Micro SDs but thought maybe I needed more. I guess I will use 8GB, since its cheapest ATM. Thanks given.

Yea, 16 gig cards are kind of a rip-off but it sure is nice to have all that space.

To make matters worse for me however is the fact that I bought a sandisk 16 gig card when they first came out & I've had nothing but trouble with it.

Three times now, it has all of a sudden come up totally blank when it had something like 10 gigs of stuff on it (it did it to me again yesterday). It is not the end of the world as I have 99% of it backed up to my LT, but it's getting really annoying at this point.

I have two 8 gig sandisk cards & never had any trouble whatever with them........

32GB exists, but "normal" people cant have them yet. i have a buddy that works for a tech company and he has one. cant imagine what would happen if that "came up missing"....lol

Actually, on the Sprint TP box, I believe it says SDHC compatible.

And yes, max capacity is 32GB [which is absolutely incredible considering the size of the card]

No kidding.

I remember years ago I bought a Windows95 computer & paid extra for the "optional oversized hard drive" That hard drive was six gigs (standard was two IIRC)............

Re: Micro SDHC?

My question is do most people who get 8 or 16 gb cards really need that much space or is it a look at me thing? Most folks I know who have ipods or phones with lots of storage don't really use more than 4-6gb.

I use most of my space, but try to keep at least 2GB free. I have 1.5GB of CAB files, 3GB of music, .5GB of videos and pictures, and .5GB of installed software
