Angry Bad Keyboard Problems...

Okay, So I have just gotten my touch pro from Alltel. About 6 days ago. $230. Love the phone, but I have some issues. First off, MP3 on TF3D Doesnt work, but I downloaded a cool MP3 player that I like more than TF3D that doesn't waist my CPU. Is there going to be a ROM update to fix this?

THE PROBLEM...
My keyboard. Okay, so Iv read a few sites, and there is people experiancing kind of the same as mine. Well for starters, there is a HUGE lag in my keyboard. I downloaded a .cab file that fixed the problem! However after I did that, My keyboard started to freeze up. It stopped working. My phone would go to landscape, but none of the buttons would respond. Sometimes only one letter would show up, followed by about 10 spaces (all taking an extremely long time to load) then nothing at all. So I uninstalled the .cab file and reset. The keyboard is fine. No freeze (for now) But there is still a huge lag!!! So Im back to square one. I will not hard reset, just because everything I have read with this problem, someone suggested hard reset, and the person would come back saying it accomplished absolutely nothing besides resetting their phone.
Now please, Im begging! Does anyone know anything I can do! It would be a shame to have to take this phone back already. Thank You
(By the way, this is my very first smart phone/WinMob phone, so you have to be pretty dummy proof with explanations or I will be completely lost...)

Re: Bad Keyboard Problems...

The cab file probably does the same thing as I'll recommend, but it's the manual way and it's the ONLY thing that will get changed...you'll need a registry editor like PHM Reg Edit. I have mine set to 10 with no adverse affects.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Keybd

"InitialDelay"=dword: dec 125 (default value = 375)
