Re: A real blackberry crusher rom ...
Blackberry Application Suite, isnt out yet but i was reading reviews of it for those who have tried it and this kinda sux a little . So far the trials that have come out for reviews and hype are all for the TP. they said it would be availabe for more devices when it actually comes out.
[quote] One complaint that everyone who has trialed the BAS seems to point out: without a trackball or trackwheel, the BlackBerry OS can be a bit of headache to navigate. The HTC Touch Pro features a five-button key and touch screen for navigation; however, BlackBerry OS 4.2 doesn’t support touch gestures and as such, it’s a pain in the BAS—please pardon my poor pun--to employ using a touch and a stylus. Re: A real blackberry crusher rom ...
If you're looking for a ROM with no extras, d/l a kitchen ex: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...=46526&page=36 , don't add any OEM's to the base OS and you'll have a super clean ROM. Even with a loaded ROM, there's no law that says you can't shut off the things you don't want, like TF3D. As for 6.5, copper is about as clean as they come, but I'm not using a ROM based on pre release files day to day. If you're looking to do a completely new GUI over WinCE? Good luck to you, that's quite a job! I would love to see someone do something like what Teal did with it's Pre copy cat TealOS for WinMo devices. I installed it on my wifes 755P and it's a better interface than TF3D for a multi tasking device. Then again, there's that whole cease and desist thing from Palm that killed off TealOS.
