A real blackberry crusher rom ...

Greetings !

I'm a proud owner of a Touch Pro from Bell ... after removing all the crap included in this mobile, (impressive how those thiefs tries to get you thinking that GPS Nav and Bell Crap MP3 Store and the only software you can run on that phone ...), I think it's a great phone ... just not for business in it's current form ...

My GF has a blackberry curve ... and I have to admit it is 200% more functionnal than the TP business wise ...

I would like to create a rom (hopefully based on windows mobile 6.5) that would be simple, fast and has the tools you need when you use a TP has a business phone. It would be a complete interface makeover.

I'm a multimedia intergrator, so design and web prog wise I'm good with it, I just never did any rom yet ... I would need help ...

I would like to have help from someone who knows about rom and is willing to start this project with me

If you have any suggestion business wise on the TP, feel free to post anything you find usefull !

I'm kinda confused. What's is so special on the Blackberry OS that can't be done on Windows? Connect to blackberry mail?

Yes...blackberry email give you true push email, kind of like activesync, but for any email address you want to use. That and battery life are the only thing I miss from my Curve.

Edit....however there are drawbacks, like the nationwide blackberry outage the other day that prevented ALL blackberry users from sending/receiving email for a few hours. lol

im honestly not sure exactly what all the differences are. but i like change and i like using different interfaces on my winmo phone...so i think this is cool...does anyone know if it is out yet though?

+1 on trying out diffrent UI's

I love new UI's as well, I will admit though, WM is much more flexible than BB OS ...
