Basing it off throughput (6mbit connection) really doesn't have as much to do with it as latency does.
A 768 or even 1.5 connection would be fine. It's latency that is the issue (having ~100ms to the first hop would stink).
This is why gaming over wireless can cause lag issues.

is there anyway to just get updates on the PS3 by using my touch pro and just my laptop? im not looking to play games online just update the NBA rosters(: if not then darn lol

I had to do a hard reset and after that ive noticed my batt life is better and it barely gets hot anymore. Before, it would get hot enough just using it NOT plugged in, that it would start to burn my hand. Didnt even realize the heat issue was gone till i read your post. It even charges better, and i didnt put the batt hack dll back on it after the HR. But as with anything electronic, YMMV.

Its funny, at least 35 threads a day are people who tried to flash and messed up, or wonder why in the middle of the night their phone up and did a hard reset by 'itself'.

i wouldnt do firmware updates but you said you wanted roster updates should be a small file so yes just do the method i told you earlier works fine with my 360
