Evdo Speed Tweaks For Touch Pro

What the heck, I recently flashed to 4.16 and 1.11 sprint radio. I am on my last day of this new radio before I try the Telus. So I will try this tweak and post any +/- reusults.... I am running around 1.25MB/sec now

hey for all of you guys talking about only getting 400-500kbps thats super bad you guys should be getting at least 1500kbps with out this program. I have an HTC Vogue WM6.1 from sprint and i live in the country here in michigan and barely get 2 bars, but i usualy only get one bar of service and ive tested my speed and the lowest i ever got was 1265kbps and fastest ive gotten was 1908kbps. So you say it tripels the speed? so youre telling me that if i use this program i should run a little over 5000kbps....??? And im not trying to hate i just think its too good to be true. But ill try it

Don't worry, I understand. Results will vary, but depending on what, I'm not sure.

Again, I think someone said this, but. MightyROM has all the settings already there except for RWIN setting. There is no major boost for me. I think if you are running a different ROM, and had to change a few settings then you will see the boost.
I ran 1.24 and 1.28mb/sec which is what I was averaging.

Could not say if older versions of MightyROM bring this settings, but there is no need for this app if you are running 4.16.

I'm running StarROM WM6.5 v1.3.

I'm going to use that RWIN setting from the MightROM that was posted and see what it nets me.

mines is already setup like that except my rwin is 2451808.... all i got from the speed test was 469kbits/s

yes it will, but as you can see the results are spotty.. Give it a try.

The best/most concise description of RWIN I've read.

RWIN (TCP Receive Window) is a buffer that determines how much data the receiving computer is prepared to get at one time.

A RWIN value that's too large will result in greater loss of data if a packet is lost or damaged. A too small RWIN will be very slow, as each packet will have to be acknowledged before the next packet is sent.

RWIN is one of the most important parameters in tweaking any TCP/IP connection.

Basically, the main thing this app does is let you change the size of the window. You really shouldn't mess with the value unless you know what you are doing, and if it's set at over 250000 - you probably don't need to either.
