These are actually pretty standard "tweaks" the TCP stack on WM that have been around for years.

Nice to have it consolidated with a simple program, but if you use SKTools, Schaaps or change the registry manually/custom ROMs, you'll have the same results. BTW, hese are not so much "EvDO tweaks" as TCP stack ones, which is basically controlling how much info the system asks for and how much it attempts to swallow in a request--so it's actually neutral on the connection type (BT, Wifi, 1x, Ev). These tweaks are commonly done on PCs too.

In fact, when I ran this app I had all of those settings already on my Treo Pro, except for "time stamps off", which I'm not holding my breath will have much of an effect ;-) That's because they were changed in SKtools beforehand.

And yes, these are universal, so they will work on any WM device either GSM or CDMA.

I have been trying to find a version of opera mobile ( there is a ton of them on XDA) for my Sprint TP that will allow me to run JAVA applets native in the browser. What I want to do is run the tweak test on DSL Reports, and try and get an optimized setting for the phone.

I went from 500 Kb/sec consistently to 300 Kb/sec consistently lol.... I'm thinking it's my piss poor reception in the office..

I am running NFSFAN's 6.5 and am on a Vogue with Verizon.

Before:
1mb
450 kbit/sec 0.992s latency 18.382s dl time

After
955 kbit/sec 0227s latency 8.735s dl time

wow i have a diamond and i am getting like 2300kbps connection on sprint (out the box), why are your connections so slow?

EV for VZN sucks in my area but i was getting 360-540 with opera before and 550-660 after. so it did help some. of course you can only help so much when the service sucks.

Probably because not all of us can live in a Cell Tower, like you! Hehe

I get up to 2700kbps from 1 tower in my area. It happens to be at a coffee shop, next to a highway, right on the CT/NY border, with full bars.
Most other places range form 1200 - 1800kbps during the day :)

I'm just happy to be able to drive around streaming 128K radio without pauses and buffering!
