I bet if Sprint had shipped the TP with those colors, people would complain about it.

Then we would have the exact same thread, but people would be changing it to white.

i bet tha would happen. its funny how thing like that works.

Nice work. It's good to see proof of concept on these devices !

I've done this on devices with larger leds. But never on anything with the micro leds.
your a brave one.

I think UV leds would be cool looking.

what kinda of gels would you use? I was wondering if you could use color paper to cover the leds? that could work at lot better than markers and the color would be bright. I would try but i dont know how to take apart the touch pro (even looking at the manual).

This might not work, but I remember reading a long time ago on how to MOD LED lighting without soldering. Basically, you took some plastic that was the color that you wanted and put it on top of the LED. I don't know if there is enough space in there to do that but it might help...also, if it works, you could take it out if you needed to take it back for an exchange.

Perhaps taking a sharpie of the desired color might also do it.

Again, IDK if that will work, but it was in a tut. that I saw a long time ago.

good idea thanks, i will try that ....but it would be esier if i can see an open touchpad before i void my warranty

Like others have said, a sharpie really is the best way to do it...

Once you get it apart is is easy as pie...and trust me it looks awesome!

Plus it is completely reversible, little alcohol on a Q-tip...

If anyone actually tries this but runs into a problem I'll be happy to help, its really not that hard, just give yourself at least an hour if it is your first time taking the phone apart...
