Re: Disable Active Sync in background?
Not too sure about that way. It does not specify if active sync will work when connecting to PC even though you disable auto start. I'll wail for other opinions.

Re: Disable Active Sync in background?
SETTINGS>PHONE>SERVICES>TIME SYNCHRONIZATION>(click GET SETTING) uncheck the box that says "Time synchronize with mobile network automatically" You cshould be golden!!!
This is all you need to do. Forget that link that was posted above... |

Re: Disable Active Sync in background?
Does that effect Activesync? I thought that sync's your clock with Sprint's clock when connected- unless it syncs via Activesync?

Re: Disable Active Sync in background?
I can see how this would disable the time syncing with the Sprint network...but how on earth does this keep the Active Sync Program from being running in the background on the phone at all times? I dont get it. I mean, THANKS, its great if it'll work, but then wont we always have to manually go in and update the time for daylight savings or when traveling in a different time zone?

Re: Disable Active Sync in background?
this is what was said to do with the Moguls, and it worked. It does make you have to that update button below that setting, but I mean 2 times a year for DST, and how often does the average person change times zones? If you do, just go hit the update now button = BAM done!

Re: Disable Active Sync in background?
I have tried disabling the time sync on my Sprint TP. I also have my ActiveSync connected to an Exchange server, and I have the sync times set to manual for on and off peak. I still have ActiveSync launching in the background every few minutes. Any other suggestions?
