Touch Pro: Won't charge while tethering

Anyone else unable to charge their Touch Pro while you are tethering? Is there a solution to this?

Must be overheating again...

Slide the keyboard open, blow air to it and keep it cool.

Common problem of TP.

Nope does it all all the time. Don't think over heating is not the problem.

The usb cable does not charge fast enough to keep up with the data usage if you are doing a lot of downloading. It might not drain your battery, but if you tether with 50% battery, chances are you will still be around 50% or less when you stop tethering.

Is there a solution to fix this? And when I am using the Touch Pro as a WifiRouter it won't charge at all.

Update to the latest telus radio - see the updgrade section, i did this on my sprint tp and it run a little cooler...

also i use bluetooth for tethering, and keep the phone plugged into a wall charger, and it stays pretty much fully charged... i also keep the backlight off, and the phone proped on its side so heat can escape...

give a shot and post back ure results

Just curious, but when you click Start>Settings>, under the Battery tab, do you have a check by the "When device is turn on, do not charge the battery when connected to the PC"?

ha ha... i assumed mine was unchecked, but it was checked.. i'm not the noob i was 2 years ago.. i knew to google this stuff first, and it brought me straight to this thread and solved my problem.. u guys don't have a lot of patience, but u all are still the best!!!
