Sashimi for Dummies

I've been searching in the forums for the past several days trying to find an almost elementary level instruction for this Sashimi that I've heard so much about. Is it really any better than Sprite or Spb? I have seen the videos about 3 or 4 times and maybe its just me but everyone says its so easy, I jus cant make heads or tails of it....anyone have a very basic/simple write up that will help me to understand this program?
