Divxrippimp Dream's Rom Review

I didnt like this rom very much, so I stopped reviewing it at around 12pm... I had many weird issues with it... The opera was really fast and the TXT did keep up with my typing... It had very few added functions/features... I didnt enjoy it...

Divxrippimps Erice Rom Review

This ROM is ultra bare... That is the point though...
Its so bare in fact that I have t9 on and it can keep up with my typing 100%... Its speed is AMAZING its the fastest ROM you will run, I know that's a bold statement as I haven't tried the other 22 ROM yet, but this is redok fast... This ROM is perfect for people who are heavy post flash cab installers, which is normal me when I'm not testing ROMs as I currently am... Its seriously so fast it makes the phone seem like a totally different thing, more like a laptop... I recommend this to anyone who likes stock feel and just installs a few specific cabs...

I had one issue... Its that issue when leaving an app for the home screen an element from that application covers the top bar and gets stuck there until you soft reset, that's the best way I can describe it, I can't get a screen shot because when that happens I can't access the start menu... This could be an applications fault and not the rom, this happened after closing microsoft word...

Touch scrolling works so perfectly, its like your scrolling your contacts on a bed of water...

Loads the windows dir in under 2 seconds
The phone soft resets in UNDER 25-30 seconds, its ridiculous...

The camera is usable again after taking a picture in under 2.5 seconds!!!!!!

Note that this rom has NO extra apps installed and many of the regulars remove, there is no htc x button, MSVC or opera for example... It does have the hardware key vibrate that i love :) there isnt even TF3D (which i dont care about either way)

My pocketwit cab (that i install on all the roms im testing cause i gotta have it) installs in a 1/4 of the time, its nuts...

Word loads 3-4x faster... The speed of the rom is just so nuts, this rom is a definite try at least once rom for everyone...

Installed opera 9.5 to test with, its gotta be fast...
As i thought its ultra fast, and scrolls sooooo smooth, there wasnt even any loading anywhere when quickly scrolling digg.com (my normal test site) no lag at all... Scrolling on youtube works perfect, not a single load spot and im scrolling all over, videos almost play at full fps, they are easily good enough to watch!

Includes 15+ themes
Ill test battery life tomorrow...

Battery life test starts at 9:49
Phone has been on for 20 min and is @ 95%...
Dont know if that is a charging issue or not...
I just thought of this, my battery is old, so battery test with my batter mean, if it doesnt even remotely well then the battery lifr for a newer battery would be really good... Im getting the 3000mah after these reviews anyways.

This rom has sprint picturemail installed which i hate, but it can be easily removed and replaced with arcsoft i think... Arcsoft mms is awesome.

Txt starts to slow down as a threaded message builds up... And the notifications seem to always be miss counted, it says 9 emails when there is 2... Ill have to test that more...

Phone was tethered from 11 till 2 pm... So as of 2pm the batter is at 99%

The phone doesnt have voicemail in as a speed dial

Its not that the notifications are being miscounted, but the notifications dont update very fast...

Divxrippimps FayFay Rom Review

1 Attachment(s)
Started using ROM around 11:30 am...

The touchflo has a TON of add-ons.
The weather tab shows the weather and 4 more days weather smaller at the bottom, BUT its missing the plugging for the larger city database.
It also has a calendar plugin which looks amazing! There is also a stock plugin, if you follow stocks I'm sure that's cool... All these plugin seem to make TF3D lag a good amount though, ill report on the lag more later...

This has the finger friendly menus (sorry i forget the apps name) and they actually fit in the landscape view, they are slightly laggy tho... They appear to have some sort of a slide effect that causes them to slow down a little on the initial opening of a menu... If that could be disabled they would prob be pretty quick...

This has the TF3D that is usable in landscape view, its a pretty awesome feature id you like TF3D...

This has some sorta crazy threaded messeging app or skin, its amazing...
But it only seems to work if you open a message via TF3D which is kinda lame... I want to to be the default messeging app...

Conflipper and fayfay need to make a rom together, their baby rom would be amazing...

This includes the notification app that i like a lot, BUT it also uses htc enlarge notifications, so its 3 clicks to get to a notification, but i think this can be fixed by deactivating enlarge notifications via a reg edit.. Unlike conflippers rom the fullscreen notification app i like works and takes you to where you need to go for each notification.

The TF3D messeging tab doesnt have arrows to go thru your messeges... But you can use the directional buttons on the front or the keyboard to navigate them.

There is a cool contacts scroller that is accesable via TF3D is awesome...

Im assuming all this TF3D stuff i like is the touchflo 3D 2 stuff iv been reading about...

When using the stock messeging the txt typing lags waaaay behind, where the TF3D one keeps up the whole time, and displays the entire thread... If only that TF3D messeging could be default.

The camera is super fast, really quick after exiting the review to get back to a usable camera...

The lag in TF3D seems to have been just on the initial after flash boot of TF3D... Its nice and fluid now... I love all the addons iv mentioned they make everything convenient

If you click the volume icon in the top bar, it brings up enlarge notifications and when you click the volume in there it brings up the full screen notification app but that doesnt let you adjust volume, so that doesnt make sense...

Figured out the enlarge notifications can be turned off in the touchflo settings...

Phone boots in 30 seeconds and touch flo is started in another 10... Txt is laggy for about 20 seconds after that...
Windows folder opens in about 5 seconds.

Battery appears to be pretty good, i haven been logging the last few roms, im sorry. It gets to be an issue to not want to softreset at any point, and remember to not accidentaly close the logging app...

Opera is pretty quick, and scrolling is ok... The flash doesnt seem to work so well, youtube formats all weird and loads no video, ill test some more...

I really enjoy this rom a lot, i still wish all the TF3D stuff was accessable from everywhere and not just from the today screen... The rom keeps upto speed enough for me and has a ton of cool features...

Youtube player is a little choppy... I use the same test video each time... It buffers fine, but playback is a little choppy, ill softreset and try...

It seems that tethering with this rom is MAD fast, unless the network around here got faster randomly... Im hitting 200KPS, its awesome!

Divxrippimps Hibby Rom Review

I didnt review this rom either... It was soooooo laggy and slow, and had way to many freeze ups and errors... I had to restart the phone almost 10 times during the day because when i would turn it off and it would get a text it would freeze up... Here are screen shots for those who would like to test it out, it has a whole new look and feel, its worth a try, mabey your experience will be better than mine... The today screen thing was annoying, as was the program folder... They were hard to use and to much work to access things... The opera build wasnt very fast, and I did not test the "new" PIE...

Thanks, Love the idea, love the review, glad you enjoy it. I will get a few more updates going. I think I can get it going and the issues fixed. Battery drain was crazy, and annoy me, I have that fixed. I also have updated apps on about everything. I have new Java Icons, so that will be fixed. Landscape fixed. I can also do a VGA touch pro 2 manila, so everything will be there. not sure on when i will get this all going. but I will try and get it soon.
