Once again i can't see parts of the screen so when i read my texts a big part of the texts are covered by the scratch (which in my eyes is caused for a replaceent)

I would never in my life exchange a phone because of a crack (unless its on the screen)

Dropping the phone and end up with a crack on the phone is different than having in on the "screen"

all i'm trying to do is avoid wasting 50 dollars for a little but very annoying problems with other issue my TP is having that i been dealing with for over a month

If it's on the screen, what happened to the screen protector?
If it's on the scream, what would that be?

Either way, I see insurance deductibles going up. I have scratching and dents from dropping my touch pro and I"m still got the same.

Insurance deductibles have gone up...from $55 per incident to $110+ for the Touch Pro (it is considered a top tier phone) and they demand a premium to replace it now. The new prices became effective this month if I recall correctly, I got the brochure with the price changes a couple months ago but cant recall where I placed it right now....but I'm 100% positive that the deductible cost is much higher..at least double what it use to be.

To be quite honest, I know how you feel garcia. I will admit, if it was becoming a usability problem, I would do the same thing.

Flame me. I don't care. If you think you're going to change my mind you're dead wrong.

Personally, I don't mind paying an extra buck or two per month if it means more of you can get your phones replaced over minor issues.

i hear ya dude, but how are you "wasting" 50 bucks, are u not getting a new 600 dollar phone for that 50 bucks, hardly seems like you "wasting" anything... and besides its your fault, well your dogs, but im just saying... its just that soooooooo many people are "working" the sytem... because of all the frivilious claims, now when i have a legit problem odds are ill have to pay a 100 bucks now... just because people think, theres magic batteries in other TP units, or because their mogul had a white spot(which i have one of those for months, and still have it), or they flashed a rom and bricked their phones..... if you goto advanced exchage, not one issue your talking about is listed as an issue covered for an exchange... thats all man... i know times are tough everywhere, especially our great 14% unemployement rate here in MI.. but in the end its your fault, why shouldnt you have to pay the deductible..... then again its upto sprint, if they say its covered when u go in, then, well, its covered... but ill be honest, im routing for sprint on this one

Rarely can anyone change anyone else's mind.

Personally, I'm not saying that if I was in the same situation I wouldn't do the same thing, the only difference being is I would try to fix it on my own.
If the dude can't fix it, I'm sure he'd do what almost anyone else would do, and probably rightfully so. If you try to fix it and fail, then what else can you do? and not a soul can blame someone for going to sprint.

In my opinion i just feel like a scratch should be worth 50 bucks now you say 110 I work once a week every other week i'm only a sophmore i dont have that kind of money and i know if you go to sprint and say my phone is having technique problem you get a replacement free thats all im trying to do

Unlike those "other" people who just dont want to pay i actually cant pay... i mean really people we'll just humans

I believe if a phone is considered a 'PDA', then they will cost double what a 'regular' phone deductible is. I still think the insurance is a must with these phones, I don't have $400-$600 to shell out for a new one.

Sry you don't have the money. I'd suggest taking it in before april in case that's when the deductable changes. If it's too much, I'd suggest that stuff from before.
And you probably get a free replacement on if it's within a certain time (30 prolley) and the reason for the problem is on sprint or HTC's end.

Good luck. Let us know what happens.

Let Me put some enlightenment to this thread

I just wanted a simple excuse i didn't really want to type the whole entire story but it seems i have to

i have a scratch caused by my dog running into it now the scratch isnt really that big but it cuts off a few thing when i'm trying to read a text message i been living with it for about a month but i want a new TP because

A) Screen
B) This is a replacement phone and for some reason it terrible compare to the 1st one i had Since i havent argued about it they prob won't believe (i don't know who's going to be assisting me)
C) Battery Life is rediculous as i posted before and someone kindly said you can exchange it and press your luc

So i want to press my luck for a new one to do that i cant just go in and say my TP is too slow because they'll just say to do a hard reset

there is no need to be acting like this when im trying myself (i am human and i am just a teenager)

For all you who gave me advices thanks

Mr. Garcia... Now you do know that there are local repair centers near you, correct? Instead of contemplating the "ifs", why not actually do the following instead of making pitiful attempts to cheat a wireless provider out of a $600+ replacment through insurance claims from a so-called "tiny blemish" (which is the most typical way to make a mountain out of a molehill), which is:

-Ask the reps around if the store is a repair center (common sense pays off), and when they say "yes", you:
-Tell them what the problem is without you sounding like you're looking for a problem. That's how the customer's melodramatic attitude builds up, then:
-Once they hand you a receipt for your phone about to be serviced, they'll tell you to wait an hour or so. It's even better than waiting a few days for something you're trying to get off of a false claim. Odds of getting the screen replaced are very high.

Take it from someone who got his screen replaced after experiencing the "Black Screen of Death" for a few days a while ago. In adition, there are such things as a warranty as well. Now this thread is closed, and you must either set the example or be one.
