Multitouch Capabilities of the TP

Where are all the apps and software that deal with the multitouch part of the touch pro? Im still surprised that this hasn't taken off yet... Think of the possibilities!!

or maybe im just crazy and don't know what i'm talking about

Re: Multitouch Capabilities of the TP

From what I've read, resistive touch screens aren't accurate enough to do multi touch justice. MS needs to get off its a$$ and add capacitive touch screen support to WM and they really shouldn't wait for WM7 to do it!

flash jd's new 6.5 rom. hold one finger on the screen. place another finger on another part of your screen. move either finger and the screen will respond. tap on the screen and it responds. go back to 6.1 and it doesnt. I agree its not very accurate but possably usable.

The guy in some Diamond 2 or TP 2 vid said that capacitive screens are not supported by 6.5 and resistive is not accurate enough.....

found this here http://www.engadget.com/2009/02/18/e...sses-the-mark/ Reason #4

6.5 supports resistive touchscreens. In fact, it only officially supports resistive touchscreens. Resistive touchscreens are less accurate and more frustrating to use with full touchscreen devices, and most of the new Windows Mobile devices are built around full touchscreen navigation! It's truly a mystery as to why Microsoft refuses to implement a superior technology. We did see it installed on a TI device with a capacitive screen, but it's clear that there's no effort to make this play nice with these displays (the rep in the video seems to suggest that Microsoft didn't lend a hand here). At any rate, if the scores of inaccurate, jumpy demos we've seen are any indication, using 6.5 -- no matter how "finger friendly" they tell you it will be -- is going to be a royal pain on resistive screens without a stylus. And you know how we feel about styli.

Re: Multitouch Capabilities of the TP

I dont think 6.5 has multi touch, just 7 or else the TP2 and Diamond 2 and stuff like that would have multi.
