Windows Mobile 6.5 conference
I found this on Engadget for those who haven't seen this yet, I thought it was a great read & video and is totally exciting me what they are doing in this new version.
It seems that they are creating somewhat a new experience with 6.5 and positively exploiting the features of the OS for developers and consumers. HOpefully HTC will allow us to upgrade on our own handset. http://www.engadget.com/2009/03/20/v...ess-honeycomb/ |

It very odd, iPhone has all the easy stuff done wrong, but all the hard stuff done right (well some of it) and Windows Mobile has all the easy stuff done right and haven't done the hard stuff yet. |

If its only for devices with the "win flag button" why is he showing it on a AT&T Touch Pro? Pardon my ignorance.

Re: Windows Mobile 6.5 conference
At the end of the video, someone asks a question, so far, the only two 6.5 upgradeable devices (period) are the Pro 2 and Diamond 2...
I feel slightly screwed, but not worth upgrading to the TP2 if the rest of the hardware is the same. |

Re: Windows Mobile 6.5 conference
ConFlipper is a couple other chefs have already ported to a few devices to include the Titan and Vogue. Personally I'm already running 6.5.21193 on my Vogue and quite liking it. The changes are mostly small, but noticable. IE6 is looking good. Office 6.5, Email clients now syncs SMS, "Titanium"/chome Today plugin is pretty decent, Start Menu Explorer has been replaced by "Honeycomb". TouchFlo has been built into WM. Menus and lists "bounce" like a few other popular mobile O/S's out there. Things are generally feeling faster also.
