No Service With Custom ROM

I started uploading different ROM's to see which one I liked and every time I upload a custom ROM I never have service. I have tired flashing all the different Radio's and nothing. As soon as I go back to Sprint ROM I get my service back. Could some one please help me out here.

When your flashing different roms, you have to make sure the rom is not Carrier Specific, if it is, then make sure its for your carrier, so looks for roms that are open to all carriers, or a rom with your carrier on it, so if you have alltel, and lets say you install a verizon rom, then your services will not work because you have the verizon configuration on it.

This might be asking the obvious, but are you activating the phone on Sprint (*22

when you flash the custom ROM?

You have to activate the phone after flashing? *228?

I would like to know if there is something special you have to do like this too. I am having a somewhat similar experience too. When I had/have the stock rom, I pretty much always have full bars sitting here in the house, when I flash to something (mighty rom usually) I have service, but now only get 2-3 bars at most. This is using the same radio too.

I have a Sprint Phone and have had my Touch Pro since the first day they came out. I'm sick of the stock ROM so I went custom I like Juicy 5 Rom and the ROM works awesome just My service goes up and down like crazy. I have the Sprint Airrave and should have 5 bars all the time inside my house which I do with the stock ROM. I don't know what you are talking about Geekcoop about calling *22 what does that do?

I have installed a sprint rom on my alltel just to play around with it. Certain cooks will leave the arcsoft available for you to remove and add your carriers arcsoft.

Hmm I'm sort of having the same problem after using Silence Rom 6

When I run the Stock ROM I get the EV symbol with full service. So why is it when I go custom ROM it shows EV but with no service there most be something being left of the custom roms that messes with the service indicator.
