Now what? Answers by its self?

Well this is certainly interesting.... if I put my phone into silent mode, it doesn't answer. I can see it ringing, and the notification on the screen. Then it goes to voice mail.

But if I put it back to normal, it picks up as soon as the audio from the ringtone is heard. It's interesting because you know how our phones will sort of ring but not ring at first? The keypad blinks but you see nothing else, then the screen pops up, but you still don't hear anything? Then it actually rings? Well it goes through everything until it gets to the ring, then it answers after a brief chirp of the ringtone....

And the hunt continues...

have you tried changing ur ringtone? the file may have gotten corrupted.

I couldn't find any registry entries that would pertain to this issue...sorry.

Yes. Multiple times. This makes no sense.

Well what do you know? It's SPB Phone Suite. I uninstalled it and the issue went away.

Now to figure out why.

There is a setting to automatically answer calls in phone>settings, but i think it only applies for headset users....

You'll have to change the "auto-answer" feature in your profiles.

Thanks Coz. I'll look for it now. Interestingly, reinstalling Phone Suite retainted the registration information but not it's settings. I can't imagine how it picked up "auto answer" settings in the profiles.

that could get someone in alot of trouble. thathappened to me and my freakin gf just sat there and listened to me talking to one of my buddies. needles to say i got an earfull and b/s the next couple days.
