Re: Getting horrendous battery life. Sometimes less than an hour.

I also discovered that if I had too many apps that monitor the G-Sensor all at the same time (like some of the G-Sensor enabled locking or alarm programs) that this will kill the battery as well (at least, it did on mine anyway... lol)

An absolute battery killer(especially on this phone) is when the phone goes off hunting for a signal because it continually loses it's "home" signal. When the phone holds a signal, it's ok, but it's that hunting between signals that drains the battery FAST.

A suggestion was to try the airplane mode and that has some merit IF the issue is continually losing signal/roaming.

However, if your battery is dropping down within minutes, it sounds like your battery isn't being fully charged, thus why it seems like you are getting crap battery life. There could be an issue with the battery or with the charging ability/port in your phone. Try charging the battery with an EXTERNAL charger to see if it's a charging issue with your phone.

Do you leave Palringo running in the background when you're not using it? Or do you close it completely each time?

I'm pretty sure Palringo maintains an active data connection when it's running, even in the background, which might explain your poor battery performance.
