Using TP to view security cameras?

Hi, my roomates have some pretty untrustworthy friends (a couple months ago my external HD mysteriously disappeared.) I'm trying to keep my room on lock down for when I am away or whenever they have a party. So I got an extra webcam and I'm going to mount it somewhere in my room to keep an eye on the place. I saw a couple months ago someone posted that they could use their TP to view their security cameras. I just can't find it when I search. I have a macbook, I don't know if that's going to make any difference but does anyone know how to do this? What kinda program do I need to get first?

Re: Using TP to view security cameras?

If you want to go another route:

dont know if it will work with mac or the camera you are using....but I have a Axis wifi cam at the house and use my laptop as a remote DVR to view and of course record when I am at a remote location, pretty nice setup.

you can go to the Axis site and d/l the "Axis Camera Station One" software which will let you view only 1 camera without a license kinda like freeware.

Just need to register to the site to get software.
