Rotate+Type Lag

I will take my beatings for not searching well enough for this... lol. I did some searching, but I was finding a lot of stuff not actually related, so... lazyness wins.

Is there a "fix"/tweak for the lag you get when typing right after rotating the screen in pOutlook? For example, I read a text message then when I go to reply I slide out the keyboard forcing a rotate. For a few (3-5 maybe?) seconds after the rotate the keyboard lags behind my typing. It still catches up eventually so it's not a HUGE deal, but annoying.
