Talk button not working
 

I dont know what it is with me and talk buttons but mine seems to not be working!! I had the same damn problem with my mogul, when I press talk its as if I press the left arrow on the dpad and it goes to the programs tab, when I dial a number I have to press the center button for it to work.


any ideas? Is this common? firmware issue?

I have been having this same problem for about 3 weeks now, i have just dealt with it. I contacted Sprint and HTC and they both say it has nothing to do with the actual button itself.

I've never had any issues with the talk button. Although I hate the button layout. Do you have any button management software installed. I have noticed that when using AEButton plus the buttons don't always respond the way they should. Even the ones that are not mapped

My Diamond did this too, I reread directions, and just learned to deal with it.
Then somewhere along the line, after soft resets, it started working right=D>

Check Settings, Buttons, and be sure the Send key has Voice Command. Just in case something got reset.

It also has other button assignments, not sure what they do. They can be changed to Context Menu, Input Panel, Left Softky, None, or ok/close.

Never did find anything, one day it just reverted . . .

I had the same issue.. Took it to the sprint store and they told me it was the button. I had mine replaced.

I also have noticed the talk button raises up just slightly .. making it not flush with the screen.

I also had the same issue. Actually just started happening last week.

I called Sprint this morning and they sent me out a new one.

Well **** im sick of having to get new phones every few months and having to buy new screen protectors.
