when you back up with PIMs, click customize under messages, it'll give you a tally of all the sent messages and received messages

all you have to do is switch from threaded to classic..

settings>system>text messaging>use the drop down box to change...

if you have alot of messages, i have no idea whatll be like tansferring all those messages out.. so please dont be mad if you freeze up or something like that

I have powersms as well, but i use sprint and on the sprint account usage page... it tells you how many texts you currently have used

so how much faster is the pim backup method? compared to "clear sms/mms" i just deleted 8k messages and took just under an hour :(
