Using Mighty Rom in case it makes a difference.
Why does it say there's a max of 130 characters when sprint uses 160? (Use more than 130 it says it sends in two messages)

Check Mighty's thread...post #3. There is a cab file to get you to 160 characters.

If you dont want to install cab

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\SMS\TextShared
parm name=IS637MaxAsciiCharacters value=160 datatype=integer

yea it's just a little "bug" in the mighty rom. You can either install the cab or you can do the registry edit to change it.
The registry edit is
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\SMS\TextShared
change "IS637MaxAsciiCharacters" to a decimal value of "160"

I thought it was at 130 because he's on Telus and he built it for his carrier originally. Is that not the case?

Regardless, you can install the cab to do the regedit for you, or you can manually change it your self as mentioned already.

yes your right its not a bug, he is with telus and there sms only supports 130 characters
