A hard reset will make the phone like the day you bought it... absolutely nothing on it that did not come with it... so yes, contacts would be gone.

If you have an exchange account however, and this is where you store your contacts, they will come back with your first sync.

I would love for there to be a button to turn on the flash right on the camera screen. It is a pain having to click settings, then turn it on. I am sure this would not be added as easy a just a registry mod, but if anyone knows how to do this, please let me know.

i have a question.i enabled every mode on my sprint tp and now i have
Photo | Video | Panorama| MMS | Contact Picture | Burts | Picture Theme | Sport | Video Share | and gps Photo | but i cant get mms video to record. it says 00:00:00 on the top next to the X and when i hit record, it tells me "unable to capture video. Disk Full." but ican capture video in regular mode.

video share lets me record, but then in the preview window, where the phone and tape is in the bottom right it wont let me click it. (what is it for) and what is video share mode for.

last but not least gps photo. it initializes th egps the ntakes the picture and saves it to my storage card. but then what does it do. what is the point of that mode to and how do i use it.

how do i use any of those modes and for what.

First let me say, welcome to the forums!
There's tons of great info around here for you to dig into that phone and make it truly yours!

Having said that... there is TONS of great info around here, and most of these modes are discussed in great length in other threads. I didn't do any cutting edge camera work here, i simply took alot of the things out there and put them all together in one cab for easy install, so i will leave you to do your own leg work on the "how do i use any of those modes and for what" part of your question.

As to the MMS part however... i do know from other ROM building threads that there is a difference in Sprint and Verizon ROM's in the MMS portion from the providers. I'm wondering here if my settings are unique to Verizon specifically, As VZW is my carrier, and my MMS works fine.


Can any other Sprint users either confirm or deny the MMS issue for me please?

EDIT: Oh, and "GPS Photo" just tags the photos EXIF data with your current GPS coordinates.

so then gps foto probibly has no use for me since i know where i am when im takeing the picture. do you know if their is any way to have it upload to google to be seen on google maps or anything when yo go later to look online or to find a place it will bring up that picture in google maps like it can on the pc.

Well, i use it in conjunction with a program called "TrackMe"... it uses the GPS to plot my coarse on Google Maps. I can then upload pictures via TrackMe and it places them in my trip.

People have to looking at your trip though, it's not just uploading them to Google main map site.

I'm sure there are other options out there as well, that's just the one i use.

Thank you so much for the cab, great work! Quick question...Anyway to raise the amount of images in panorama mode? I would like to take a whole room phone (360 degrees) but cant get it to go more then 3 images...

You can increase the amount of images in the pano mode, but i believe there is a hard limit of 6.
Do the following:

Start the camera -> tap the screen -> tap the camera mode icon:
Choose Pano Mode

Now:
tap the cog wheel -> tap advanced
on page 4 you will find "Direction" & "Stitch Count"

Direction = the direction you stitch images (IE: left to right, right to left, up to down.... etc)

Stitch Count = the amount of images you want to stitch together.
6 looks to be the limit here, I tried to override this in the reg without luck... but hey, you can at least do 6.

EDIT: Do keep in mind that I've changed the default res for pano mode to 3 megapixels... so if you run into issues with stitching that many images together at that size you may want to back that off a touch. Good Luck!
