Bluetooth / Windows media player registry value?

I was wondering if anyone could help me. When I connect my bluetooth stereo headset to my phone windows media player automatically starts. I was wondering if anyone has a way of disabling this "feature"? I never use WMP and I always have to kill it before I can listen to my music player. I would expect it to be a registry key but... all of my searching has not borne fruit. Any help would be appreciated.
