Alltel Touch Pro: when using activesync, screen goes black and vibrates

Good morning Everyone, I checked the forums, but none of these keywords came up. I just got my Touch Pro two days ago. Everything has gone well so far, but when I connect the touch pro to my computer to sync, after 1 minute, it will shut down, continuously and mildly vibrate and not response to anything except a soft reset. Any ideas? My power settings>advanced>on external power, neither is selected. On the primary page, "when device is turned on, do not charge the batter when connected to the PC" is not selected. Any ideas?

I kind of need this thing to sync. And it shuts down and vibrates after a minute, not enough time to sync. Besides, it shouldn't do that, right?
