Touch Pro camera quality settings

To get better snap shots using your TP camera:

1. Turn Auto White Ballance off. Select the best for your situation.
2. Turn down the brightness all the way down.
3. Make sure you've got your resolution set to 3MP and quality to super fine
4. Turn off the shutter sound (this prevents your subjects to move before the picture is taken - auto focus sound can be confusing).
5. On your shoot option, put it to just touch (optional).
6. And set the image properties to +4, +3, and +5
7. Obviously, you should wipe your cover camera lenses with soft cloth right before the picture. Optionally, just take the back cover off.

Hope this helps!

My first and replacement TP had good camera. What build date is that? Maybe your autofocus is disabled.

mrspeedmaster said it best. you have to play with the white balance yourself. i think the auto white balance is broken. ;)

If you take the battery cover off before you snap the shot the quality improves a bit.

I was going to suggest that. I didn't realize if but when I first bought my TP I must have touched the inside lens cover. I had a finger print right on it!

I doubt that is your issue Fabio. My pictures don't have that 'soft edges' look though. My only complaint is the rather lengthy focus process. If you don't wait for the green target square your pictures will always be blurry and washed out. Can you attach a mini-tripod to these things?

I've found there are two big things you can do to achieve better pics w/ the TP. The first is to turn off auto white balance. Try to select what is appropriate for the shot you're planning to take or at least use the sunlight setting for all shots as a bare minimum if you don't have time to switch it around. The other thing may or may not be controllable but the amount of light is THE main reason why a picture will come out good or not. If at all possible, use the most amount of lighting. I can take pictures of people in motion with NO blur outdoors, but if someone is even just breathing hard in a dim room, the subject will be blurry.

Things that I have gathered up in some posts are...

1. Turn down the brightness all the way down
2. Make sure you've got your resolution set to 3m and quality to super fine
3. Turn off the shutter sound
4. On your shoot option, put it to just touch
5. And set the image properties to 4, 4, and 5

Now these settings have gotten me good shots, try them out and see if it works for you.
