Re: WM Wifi Router

Yeah this thing works awesome on the TP, I used it the other day as a wireless usb adapter to get WIFI access on my computer (not 3G/EVDO actual WIFI).

Its pretty sweet that you can turn your phone into a 3G wireless router that multiple PCs can connect too.

Also this works great with Mac's for mobile broadband access, no messing around with BT or USB drivers, just connect using Airport.

Re: WM Wifi Router

WMWiFi is an excellent program and well worth the money. It is one of those things I've been doing with my WM phones for the past year or two that I would hate to give up to move to another device.

Re: WM Wifi Router

Its a fantastic program. I still use version .81 when it was still free. I've only used it once since I got my TP but it was working perfect. The newer versions is like $20 or so, but if you are poor like me and there are freeware versions around, I would look for the wmwifirouter thats .91 or earlier.

The only problem I would say is that it tends to heat up the device a bit, and since the TP is already prone to overheating, I can't imagine it would be any better than when I used my Mogul.

Re: WM Wifi Router

WMWifi Router is well worth the money, I use it everyday and its great. With the heat issue on the phone I only get this when I use the Wifi option. I have an bluetooth enabled laptop and use the WMWifi Router with the bluetooth option and no heat issue with the phone. Bluetooth uses less battery consumption.

Re: WM Wifi Router

WMWifi is a great program to use, but the only problem ive encounter is when your phone is plug in to the wall to charge and using the software at the same time. Your phone will stop charging. So basically, it will drain the battery. The creator knows this problem and so far no fix.
