Re: Make shortcut to new note?
There are multiple ways to do this, but here is what I did:
I copied \Windows\notetake.lnk to a directory on my storage card. I then edited the file, changing the one line in the file from: 21#:MSNOTETAKE to 21#:MSNOTETAKE -n and saved it. I renamed the file to newnote.lnk I added it to the programs tab (I put it in spot 3): In the registry: HKLM\Software\HTC\Manila\ProgramLauncher\2 set: DispName to New Note Path to \Storage Card\MyLinks\newnote.lnk (I have a directory on my storage card where I keep various shortcut links, but the path should be set to where you saved the file) I'm not the best 'explainer', (I tend to either not say enough or give too many details ) -- so let me know if you need more help. For example, if you want to use 'spot 5' (middle of 2nd row) on the Programs tab - you would edit the ProgramLauncher\4 folder instead of ProgramLauncher\2 (the upper left is 0). (disclaimer - this is just what I did, it is not necessarily the best or most efficient way - but it worked for me. ) |

Re: Make shortcut to new note?
Tried changing left softkey in registry to start new note. I get the error 'Cannot open note. It has been renamed, removed or deleted.' When I click OK to dismiss the error the notes program starts but not with a new note.
Any ideas? Thanks! Mike |
