Auto capitalization BUT no Auto capital "i" and apostrophes?

My previous phone (Treo) not only capitalized first letter in sentences but it also capitalized i's and added apostrophes for common words like don't, didn't and so on. Why doesn't the Touch Pro do this?

Make sure you have 'Enable Auto Correct' checked... Go to 'Start' - - -> 'Settings' - - - > 'Input' - - scroll to the tab named - -> 'Word Completion' - - -> Check 'Enable Auto Correct'

To automatically correct "i" to "I"

use this and then go into setting input and enable auto correction!

Thanks for this. It's now working for capitalizing I and inserting apostrophes, however there's one work that still doesn't work. I'm doesn't get capitalized or the apostrophe. It comes out as im in the middle of a sentence or Im at the beginning. Is anyone else having this problem?

I've had that problem since having my Mogul. Though for some reason I think my 6700 was able to auto correct im to I'm. Probably something with WM6 and the new popularity of 'IM', but doesn't make any sense to not change it if its lower case, especially since people are likely to type I'm instead of meaning to type IM.

Yeah, that bugs me too. There is the autocorrect.0409.txt file in \Windows where I believe the dictionary is kept but I haven't tried altering it yet to include that conversion. You could give that a try. I may try that when I have more time available.

Classic work completion cab did the trick. Why did they removed this from Win 6.1 anyway? Sounds backwards to me.

It's in WM 6.1... It's just not part of the Touch Pro stock ROM

Can't you add your own corrections? I swear saw that option although I have not altered my autocorrect settings personally.
