LOL same here! and yeah it is stupid that we should pay for data twice just because we are attaching a usb cable to our phone. I mean the only difference is the screen size since we can go to most of the sites in the internet with skyfire and opera. So why should we pay twice for something we are already paying for.

actually I get pretty descent speeds. about 1.5m down and 300k uploads. Same as basic DSL speeds I had b4. Good thing I had this phone last week my main internet modem died and I had to use this all week until the replacement arrived. Even DL a few movies too.. lol

I know I ask a lot of questions, I'm a n00b to this though.

So I did the regedit on this and I tried to sync the connection with bluetooth..using the phone as modem. I can't get it to work. Do I have to go through active sync? Or could someone give me aquick breakdown? thanks!

For crying out loud wake up. They are letting go of them due to outsourcing and the suck @ss conditions of the economy. I hope that most if not all of them are the ones that dont do squat for the customer, other than answering and transfering to the wrong dept to get their quota for the day.

i thought WMWifiRouter doesn't need any hacks to run undetected? Even the older versions.

Sprint is being run into the ground because of poor business practices and marketing as opposed to a few customers taking advantage of the system. Even then you can argue that if it really cost Sprint that much money, they would have figured out how to cut that a long long time ago if they were well run company.

That said, I still love Sprint and hope it never goes under because that would mean I would have to pay for a crazy expensive plan to keep the same features!

Couple of quick questions on this...
if you are tethering, can you still make and receive calls/texts?
I have an old old sprint plan that allowed for "phone as a modem" option. Not to mention I have unlimited data (vision) on my phone. ((power vision)) so my plan is fairly old.

I used to have a sanyo M1 that I would hookup to the laptop via USB and use sprints software on the PC to access the internet. If I could get this lovely TP to be my internet source and still be able to atleast receive calls/texts that would be supurb!

You can still recieve calls and texts, but calls stop your data usage until you hang up.

what about texts, do they affect your connection to the internet?
And lets say i get a phone call but dont answer it. Is my connection gonna be disconnected?

Re: Is tethering free (Sprint) with ICS Fix?

I believe just getting the call stops the connection. Texts do nothing.
