I just received my replacement today. It's NEW , i like the way everything is flushed, unlike the first batch that came out in Oct. I got smart and apply my Bodyguard protector on it already.

I noticed that too...even better!

well congrats on the good luck. Any changes (than you can notice) from build dates?

Re: Should I swap for a Refurb?

I just got a refurb last week. I was up at the Sprint Store complaining about battery life again and the rep asked me if I wanted a refurbished one. It came in last Friday, and has the same build date as my old one (10/19) and a refurb date of 1/8. I can't find any blemishes on it, and so far I'm amazed with the battery life. Yesterday I went 11 hours (couple phone calls, couple texts, bluetooth on (but headset off)) and was still at 90%. My old tp, even with a replacement battery, would have had to be on the charger at least once.

what are you looking for when you look at these new ones like what are we looking for in the chrome and later build dates should have that problem fixed right?

In all honesty, even though refurbs have a bad rap, if you think about it they're kind of like rebuilt engines. The old saying kinda comes down to once a problem always a problem, but hey at least you get to rest assured that whatever the major problem(s) are/were they hacked em out. Just can't ever stop wondering if they missed yet another one. My refurb's that i've received haven't had any problems. Maybe i'm just lucky.
