The Touch Pro charges off 5V up to 1 amp. No USB port in the entire world is supposed to put out more than 5V at 0.5 amps. If your CD player seriously burned your phone, then the CD player is grossly defective.

well it is a walmart special.... good news is that i do have tep. and i also have a buddy that works at a sprint store. he just took it in the back and the tech replaced the screen. im back to normal now. with ivans custom rom and all. which BTW is a decent rom and you guys should try it out.

I agree that there is definitely something wrong with that CD player.

I have plugged my TP into many different car setups (I do IT work at a car dealership) & never had a problem.

After reading this, I may be hesitant to do it again any time soon however..........
