sprint touch pro sms problem

okay i dont know if someone has already asked this and if they did sorry but i have a problem with my sms. i can send just fine and most of the time recieve but sometimes i will recieve them late. it will be between like 2 minutes to 4 hours. if i connect to the internet it sends them to my phone but that gets annoying. so is there anyway to fix this??? sorry if this has been asked before

Text messages are sent and received just like a voice call, so they are independent of your data connection. A lot of times when people go in and out of roaming it will cause delays in sms. Could that be happening?

i've got the same thing before. it lasted about 2 days then stopped. it was the weirdest thing (i wasn't roaming).

yea im not roaming at all. i got nearly perfect service at my house and usually on the road. the only time i dont is in school and yet i get all my texts at school on time. whats with that!? haha. but seriously i want to fix this cause it gets annoying cause i do more texting then talking on the phone

Could be network issues, I know that occasionally Sprint has had some problems with texts not coming through on time, or not being able to go through at all.

I actually talked to a sprint person about this and he said it was generally a network issue. When network traffic gets heavy the sms messages sometimes get delayed.

I have the same issue but am with alltel. Looks more likely its phone related than network related.
