Closing Active Sync
How much power does Active Sync use to sync the time on the TP? Has anyone stopped that option and seen any improvement in batt life?
Also, if I disable Active Sync, does that stop me from recieving say my Yahoo emails set to send/recieve every half hour. I searched and searched, but couldn't find an answer to either... |
Re: Closing Active Sync
active sync doesn't use any power at all. if you hit your running programs and click the x to stop it, as soon as you get on the net it pops back up again.no worries my friend.

Re: Closing Active Sync
It has to use some power to sync the correct time with the network. I understand it uses no power while running idle in the background, but is the power it uses to sync time completely insignificant?

Re: Closing Active Sync
I wouldnt worry bout it man, I do have a data monitor(spb wireless), I checked yesterday usage, and it is 0.1k,this whole month 121 kb, that is nothing dude. I will check again just in case , usage is phuked up due to soft reset...generally it is no worry:mrgreen:

Re: Closing Active Sync
What drains the battery is that it activates the network feed which will cause power drain.
