how do you change to the wm dialer?

Re: sprint touch pro - calls going directly to voicemail

The problem is this:

On the stock rom, the registry setting for a crucial phone function is incorrect. If you navigate to HKLM\Comm\ConnMgr\Planner\Settings, you will see the value name SuspendResume entry is MULTI_SZ, which is wrong (value data is #777).

Delete this entry, create a new REG_SZ value with a value name of SuspendResume and a value data of #777. Soft reset, and there is no need to disable the stock dialer anymore, and rings come through as they should.

I just checked this reg entry in mine & it was already set to #777 (leaked vz ROM) & I can tell you that absolutely DOES NOT correct the delayed ring problem. Although the stock WM dialer does not look as cool or have as many features as the HTC, it rings quite noticeably faster (I have A/B'ed the two dialer skins at least 10 times testing this out). I love the HTC dialer, but it was driving me nuts watching it light up & blink for 2-3 rings & never make a sound while sitting in a cradle on my desk at work.

I use a custom skin to make the WM dialer look a little better;

The value data is correct, but did you check if it was a Multi_Sz or Reg_Sz entry? Cause I'll take the Pepsi challenge any day....I changed mine 5 days ago, went back to the stock dialer and have not had any problem since.

I thought I did, but let me go check it again. I hope I was wrong, I would love to go back to the stock skin but it is much more important to me to eliminate the ring lag............

When I go to create a new reg entry, my options are Key, String Value, Multi Line String Value, Binary Value & DWORD Value.

Which one do I pick??

ok....is there a true fix for this problem or not? I'm experiencing the same problem. Apparently Sprint nor HTC don't knows about it, because I'm not getting any help from either.

Where did you get this info? I just got the TP last week and today my friend just called me 3 times, left 2 voicemail messages and I received no notification (not even a voicemail notification). The only reason I knew is because she was texting me at the same time and I was receiving those. I'd like to try this if it's a confirmed fix but I can't find any other information on it. Thanks.

There was a link posted in one of the other subjects on this site (I think it was in the S2A posts for Juggalo?). I followed a couple of the links, which linked to other links, etc etc. I changed my registry entry (very suspect at first) but was blown away that it fixed the problem.

Here is the single thread:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...4&postcount=35
----search in the diamond forum for "delay answer"

Here is the workaround:

So the credit goes to shaggylive.
