For some reason when i accidentaly pressed either the next button or other buttons on the radio instead of it working pocket player which is already open and playing audio it would open windows media player. This happened quite a few times and even made the phone freeze up on me.

Is there some other setting or registry edit I need to make in the phone so that windows media player isnt used at all no matter what i do or can i even delete the windows player entirely?

Thanks for your help in advance!

Is.
hey ive got the same one lol.

pressing the next button on mine always made the music tab activate and move to the next one, not media player. thats odd that it's the other for you. I eventually just removed the music tab, but what you bring up is a good question because I'd really like to press the next button and have it work with coreplayer.

I know what I'll be googling today.

Ok i found the solution to my problem and possibly yours. Here is the link for the possible solutions when using pocket player but not sure if it will work with your coreplayer or not but its worth a try.

http://www.conduits.com/community/fo...?TID=1400&PN=1

I followed the first set of directions but then had to do with the "Intercept/Override WMP" later in the post and this 2nd one in addition to the first set did the trick.

I am now able to use the Sony MEX-2600 headunit to control the forward and back and skip functions of pocket player via bt audio on my touch pro without media player opening up.

I did notice that some functions such as turning off the bt audio function on/off on the headunit sometimes opens and closes wmp but im working on that.

Im happy with at least the other functions are working!

Thumbs up Re: Car Stereo / Touch Pro combinations...

I got the P7000BT by Pioneer. It does the job well and supports My Pioneer IPOD adapter.

Re: Car Stereo / Touch Pro combinations...

I too have a P7000BT... I just installed it this weekend. For some reason my phonebook is not uploading to the receiver. is there something I need to turn on inside the phone?

I don't mind too much cause I've just been using the voicecommand to dial, but it would be nice to have just in case.

yeah I was wondering about how well that worked with this phone. Does the manual offer any instructions or advice on this?

Re: Car Stereo / Touch Pro combinations...

The manual goes a little more in-depth into forcing a phonebook download. I will probably play with it a bit during lunch to see if I can force it. It sounds like elmerfudpucker (post 55) has the phonebook dialing working so I'm pretty sure it can be done.

Like anything else I was pressed for time and just barely had time to install the unit and then had to go somewhere. today was the first time I read the manual online and I'm guessing that I just fudged my way through the BT connection, which made it so the phonebook didn't install right.

It seems to be standard on the pioneer, and the best thing I use a friends online sign on for sirius radio and beat the data plan like it owes me money!! I will prob upgrade the stereo later (love my BestBuy employee discount!) but I am working on getting the auto pc and 21 flatscreen into my conversion van.

Mine worked on its own but I use voice command only (lazy), it is much easier IMO.

Re: Car Stereo / Touch Pro combinations...

For the record I was able to (very easily) download the phonebook into the Pioneer P7000BT during lunch. I just had to allow it when the popup security question came up on my TP.

To access a number from your phonebook on radio do you have to scroll through them all or do you use voice command?

Just curious as to how people who are able to upload their phonebooks get to access them via their head unit. I cant see anyone having to go through hundreds of contacts to call someone.
