Re: Question
I always keep everything except the phone and battery cover.. I keep the battery, the stylus, everything.. If it's an Asurion replacement, they usually send the phone with out a battery..
|
Re: Question
They sent me a brand new phone in box with everything. Im not sure if i should keep the battery.
|
Re: Question
If they were supposed to send you the phone, then yeah.. Keep the battery and everything.. If it was by accident, do what your consciousness thinks is right...
|
Re: Question
When I swapped my Diamond in store the guy asked something about the phone I was trading, I don't remember what exactly, but my response was a ridiculous on the fly "oh it doesn't have a battery".
He said I could keep the battery once he did what he needed to the phone and gave it to me. |

Re: Question
You should be fine... Take what Mr said if they ask or charge your account
|
Re: Question
FYI: Your Sprint equipment return is not eligible for credit.
I sent it back with out the battery. I did have a custom ROM, but I reinstalled default and relocked it before returning. Not sure why it was denied yet, just got the email. Damn Sprint for dropping their 24/7 support they used to have! |
Re: Question
They asked that i send everything how the new phone was sent. I would love to keep the battery but i dont wanna be charged for it
|
Re: Question
I agree with everyone. Just send back the phone and back cover. I swapped out my g/f's Treo 800w in store and we took everything in and he said just to keep everything except the phone.
|
Re: Question
I just got a replacement, same deal brand new phone, and all the accessories in an original box. Same thing about sending everything back, however the return envelope is only big enough to fit the phone in. All they are getting from me is a broken touch pro and battery cover. That's the way it has always worked in the past. Sprint doesn't reuse any of those parts anyway, in fact you probably could even keep the battery door as they replace everything exterior with new when it is refurbed.
|
Re: Question
I've never sent back batteries when I've had to send back a phone. I was specifically told that it didn't matter one way or another by various Sprint reps at the repair center.
|
Re: Question
When I was in the store 2 weeks ago they said they charge for missing parts.
But a few months ago the guy gave me my battery before he took my phone back for replacement. The new phone also had a battery :) |
Re: Question
You can't have too many spare batteries for these damn things.
|
Re: Question
I agree with that Trip!
|
Re: Question
I think it depends on how you are returning it. When I have gone through Asurion they told me to only send the phone back and I could keep the rest, including the battery. But when I did an upgrade/exchange through Sprint (Q to Mogul) They informed me everything needed to be included aside from the books and software. Also, yesterday I went into the store to pick up my new TP through Advanced Exchange and I asked if I could keep the battery, I was told they would have to charge for it. So it all comes down to how you are returning it. Its not worth getting your return denied just for a battery, because I doubt they would just charge for the battery.

If it's a warranty return only send back the phone and battery cover. If it's a 30 day exchange (or something similar) you better send everything back, or they may charge you for the whole thing and still keep the phone. |
Re: Question
Theres usually a paper in the return kit that tells you exactly what you have to return and what you "can" return.
|
Re: Question
Yeah... Corn is right.. Do you have that paper?
|
Re: Question
Yes i do have that paper i have to take a look at it. its a manufactures warranty replacement. Im soooo confused!!!! I would love to keep everything but i dont wanna be charged sprints price for the battery cause there are gonna try to rape me on the charge.

Re: Question
Here is part of the email they sent me ---> "
2 Simple Steps To Return Your Phone: 1. Repackage your defective phone in the padded envelope provided. For your convenience, the return label is already attached. 2. Place the return envelope anywhere in the U.S. Mail - in your home or work mail box or in a blue U.S. Mail drop box. Sprint will notify you via email when we have received your defective phone. " |
Re: Question
If they charge you, then tell them you have the battery and will send it to them.. I have never been charged for keeping the battery...
|
Re: Question
if you have to exchange again(lets hope not!),go to the sprint store.it may take 3 days but they usually just keep the phone and battery cover.now i have two of all the accessories including the extra battery.

Re: Question
I sent the battery back with the phone. In the return kit they sent me a new battery plus a universal charger. So i have a brand new TP with everything that came in the box, everything that came in the first TP box except the phone and battery plus sprint sent me an additional battery and charger. Ill say i made out pretty well. Thanks for all the assistance guys .
