Phone pops up when keyboard slides out

Just when I thought I had a perfect setup, this crap starts happening. If I'm in like a text message or something and I slide my keyboard out, the phone pops up. Anyone else have this or HAD this? Any fix?

Hear you go try this, place this file into your windows folder on your phone, and overwrite the current file in there.

Re: Phone pops up when keyboard slides out

try reflashing the phone. i doubt its hardware. software issue is a heck of alot better than having a poorly built touch, id hate to see yours get refurb'd if its flawless otherwise

Before I copy that, can you explain what's happening? What does the volume have to do with the phone popping up?

This definitely is a software issue because when I restart the phone (soft reset) it goes a way. It's after using the phone and having the tp on for a long time that it starts up. It's truly annoying. I basically expect it to popup now and close it to get back to the screen I was trying to type on.

Re: Phone pops up when keyboard slides out

People say it's the HTCVolumeControl.dll that causes the issue... but I've reverted to the stock Sprint one via deletion and still had the issue of it going back to the phone application (or landscape tf3d) when I slide it if I do it too fast.

It's just something I've accepted at this point. I'm not sure there's a real "fix" for it.
