All i want it to do is flash like a real camera. a quick burst flash on/off. Is that possible?

i think the op wanted a way to not have the light on while hes moving from picture to another spot to take a pic. another words, a way to turn light on when he wants it. im may be wrong.

Ok i could live with that. How did you assign a softkey with diamond tweak if htorch doesnt show up a choice?

this could probably be done with a mort script now that I think about it.

When the flash on the camera is turned on for a picture, it turns the light on low. When the picture is taken, it does flash high like you want. What you are looking to do is turn off the feature of having it lit low before the picture is taken. Unfortunately I do not know how to do that. Personally I like the feature.

Re: Camera Flash

what if we used AEButton to bind a program that toggles the light. I have taskfacade binded to a long press center key and it pops up when i'm in the camera app. A program like htorch binded to like long press back key would be awesome.

Sometimes having the low light is nice, but a lot of times it is annoying. It is still pretty bright, and whenever I'm trying to take pictures of people while using the flash they are always squinting because of how bright the "low" light is.

Ideal performance, as mentioned above, would be for it to just act like a normal camera, maybe even flash the light once or twice before actually taking the picture (for red-eye reduction).

mort script is a programing language for your phone you can tell it to do things step by step.. it would be more of a workaround but you can make it quickly turn the camera on turn the flash on take the picture and close the camera/turn the flash off.
