Re: Im dumb

Wow, this is a new one for me now its saying it cannot copy the pim.vol file because it is in use. How in the world would you get the contacts file not to be accessed?

Re: Im dumb

here's what works for me... just unzip it and transfer it to storage card and run it... make sure you save you contact backup to storage card... when you wanna reload your contacts, you have to open the program again, choose restore.

Re: Im dumb

Try soft resetting and then copying your backup. Once you get your contacts restored, follow syanni85's post and use PIMBackup. You can also use PIM to schedule the backups automatically. Mine backs up every night at 2AM...never lose a contact again.

Re: Im dumb

Alright I installed the flipclock + background4alltabs and now I have a little white rectangle in all tabs besides the today page. I followed instructions exactly, gonna try a soft reset for contacts. Any answers on the random rectangle? Oh and the sprintfix didnt fix my tabs alignment...

EDIT: Soft reset the phone and heres the error message I get when I try to paste over the old pim.vol...

"Cannot copy PIM: There has been a sharing violation.

The source or destination file may be in use."

Re: Im dumb

Try renaming it to pimbkp.vol or something similar and then copy your backup. Also, if you are using the stock file explorer that came with the TP, upgrade to Total Commander. Sometimes the stock explorer cant get the job done. Total Commander is a file explorer and registry editor.

I take it that link above is the link to Total Commander with a different name for its installer or something? The download file name is tcmdpocketarm...

Sorry, yes. That is the pocket PC version , hence the term pocket in the file name. Arm is the type of processor supported. Website is here:

Re: Im dumb

Ok awesome, downloaded and installed, now back to the white rectangles in the tabs and the sprintfix not aligning my tabs and finally the contacts. I renamed the file to that exact name you told me to and I now have to .vol files in my phone however if I try to delete the one without any contacts on it it says that it is still in use.
