Lower Volume, Enter and POWER (not soft reset) keys do work, but sometimes its a bit tricky to get it to work, just keep trying it a few times. When I try this, sometimes I have to try it 6 or 7 times. I think it is because the Enter key is multifunctional and it can be hard to know whether you are actually holding it down or in one f the directions.

To quickly determine if you did it right the first screen you should see is a reset screen. If it goes to the TOUCH boot screen, it didn't work.

From my experience, this can be harder to do then it would suggest. First off the phone must be off and make sure you are not plugged in with the USB or sometimes pulling the battery and incerting it to quickly will reboot the phone.

Secondly, I have found that if I press to hard on the center button and or the vol down key, I can't get the hard reset to work. So you have to adjust your pressure. But press and hold BOTH the vol down key and the center round key THEN press and hold the power button until you get instructions on the screen. This could take a sec or several seconds. If you feel the phone vibrate on, pull the battery and do it again till you get it.

Hold the 3 buttons in until the grey screen comes up. If you let go too soon, you get the "touch pro" screen with rom/radio versions, etc, then it proceeds to boot up normally.

His phone won't boot to WM, it just freezes, so he can't do clear storage.

also, isnt it possible to put it in boot mode and reinstall a cooked rom or the factory sprint rom?

i had the same problem. you can not do a hard reset, because in order to do a hr you have to cut the phone off first which is impossible since the phone is stuck in the load up screen (taking the battery out won't work either). do a soft reset, press the power button, and volume up button at the same time. bootloader screen should load up. plug your phone into your computer flash whatever rom you had on your phone. if you had the stock sprint rom, here's it is. it's signed so you won't have to worry about unlocking your phone.

thnx guys for all your help, as you guys posted above it is a bit tricky.. i guess i was pushing down too hard probably on the enter key, cause i did it just like you guys said and just touch it making sure not to push the directional keys, and it worked on first go
