i just called and the tech told me he cant and has "strict" policies and cannot change the voice mail number and that im provided a voice mail and are forced to use that only.:x

[EDIT]

i tried again and this time they told me they cant because its not affiliated with sprint but that i could sign up for enhanced voice mail. screw that:x

I would keep trying. I guess I am one of the lucky ones. I have changed it three times... CallWave - Phonefusion and then back to call wave.

I don't really care for the phone fusion application. it sends a tm to your phone when you have a new voicemail. if the phone fusion app is not running I did not find a way to update the VM on the phone.

I set up one of our work phones and didn't have any problems. She didn't wanna do it at first but I explained to her I need all 3 settings set to conditional. She put me on hold a min, came back and it was done. We did a test call while she was still on the phone. Took less than 5 min. I will just have 2 keep an eye on the bill.

You will definitely get charged. The people who got this set up correctly and were not charged did NOT have conditional call forwarding activated.

FVM works great for Alltel. Forwarding is free. Add the FVM 800 number to your my circle and remove the alltel voicemail from your plan, saving $2. Never missed a voicemail and the current FVM app I am using has caller ID working and empty trash automatically on exit. Next revision will have contact pictures included as well.

The original post said to make sure it is set that way, so worth a shot. Will keep an eye on the bill

Plus dude you need 2 chill out, you could have talked to 100 people at sprint, it doesn't matter. I have been calling Sprint for YEARS and anyone that has talked to sprint multiple times knows that every time you call them you get a different answer. When I do have to call sprint I just always keep in mind that I may have to call 2 or 3 times to get what I want since they train all there reps with monkeys. You wouldn't take advice from a monkey would you? Worse case I get billed, I call in see if I can get it fixed, if not I have it changed back. Whoop dee doo

Thanks I didn't know an update was available, I'm about to download it now.

I know it does. For whatever reason the OP hasn't been updated with accurate information. Trust me though, and many of the 100+ people that posted before you, you will be charged. Unconditional AND conditional call forwarding results in a charge of $.20/minute. It has been posted countless times in this thread that the ONLY way to get this done successfully is to have them leave the conditional and unconditional call forwarding alone and just change the default voicemail number. I'm not trying to argue, just trying to make sure you have the right info.

For what it's worth, with a thread this long, the OP really needs to be cleaned up and updated with more accurate info.

Hafrust is right you will be charged. This thread is hella long so you probably didn't read thru it, but there is no way to get this working for sprint anymore for free, you will be charged. Other carriers such as verizon and at&t will not charge for this service but sprint will charge you $.20 per each voicemail.

I don't know how you got that working on a touch pro, but I just downloaded the most recent version of the file and it doesn't pull the caller id, that shouldn't have anything to do with the network. What version of the phonefusion are you using? I'm using version 1.11f
