Vertus Fluid Mask. It's a plug-in for PS and a standalone app that you'll love for cut outs. I can cut out and entire person in a matter of 2 minutes if that. Nice job on the ones you done though. Definetly not knocking those :) |

here is the splat.wav I'm using with RangerPain's apple_squish.gif... It is timed perfect on my phone.. But since some phones boot faster than others, it may or may not be in sync on other phones...

There are 2 ways to do it. 1. just rename the file to "Startup_640x480.gif" and drop into the Windows folder on your device. Then restart it. You will lose the original file though. 2. the second option is to modify your registry to point to the new file. here is the registry location where you indicate the file you wanna use. [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\HTCAnimation] "GifSpeed"=dword:00000040 "ShutDownWav"="" "ShutDownGif"="\\Windows\\animated_HTC.gif" "ShutDownAsStartup"=dword:00000000 "StartupWav"="" "StartupGif"="\\Windows\\Startup_640x480.gif" Change "StartupGif"="\\Windows\\Startup_640x480.gif" to the path of the file you wanna use. Save your changes and reboot your device. Ok, I recommend you use method #1. Just make sure you backup your original .gif file before dropping the newly renamed file into your Windows folder. |

Re: Splash screens and startup animations
i did pull up advanced config and settings are the same as well but still not workin.....hhhmmmm...any other suggestions
|
Re: Splash screens and startup animations
Advanced config didnt work for me either. I would set the path but it would never show on startup. I renamed the startup animation to Startup_640x480.gif then put it in the Windows folder. Then I went into the registry and made sure that it pointed to the Windows folder and the Startup_640x480.gif file. Works like a charm now.

Re: Splash screens and startup animations
if you used ppckitchen to cook your rom, and did not include startup animation oem, nothing will display, just a note for some
|
Re: Splash screens and startup animations
Which .gif are you using? I changed my welcomehead as well. I have no issues now. I am using the htc crushing apple gif that was posted here. Outside of what I have already described here I really dont know what to say.
