This gif has 20 frames that loop 5 times so it appears to repeat when your phone is loading up rather than loop once and stop:

I really want to make this my welcomehead.192.png, however you can't make it move in this splash can you?

if I change it to the above its just a still frame and no longer a gif.

Download Advanced Config 3.3. When you open it, scroll down until you see "HTC Animation". Expand that list. There you will see "Startup GIF File" Click that and at the very bottom a drop down combo box will appear. Expand that and select "Browse..."

Once you've selected the gif file (try and make sure the gif file is in internal memory) select done, then ok when it says it needs to restart. Then you're done.

that's really weird man. On mine it's right below the splash screen item. I don't know what else to tell you. Perhaps some googling might help :/

I know the origin of that animation... Oh yeah... I made it! :P

Also, if anyone wants to be "win7 looking", splash: (Check file names before replacing)

Thanks for posting those, but unfortunately they are way too small. Can you post the proper size? I'd love to use them!
