Touch Pro Keyboard issue
Everything was workign fine on my phone earlier today, and now my keyboard does not seem to be working. When i slide the phone open, the screen switches to landscape, but i am unable to enter any data whithe the keyboard. The lights indicating that the caps and funchtion also do not light up when i hit their corresponding keys.
Has anyone else had this issue? Any suggestions on a fig before I attempt a hard reset of the phone? BTW...I have the Sprint version of the phone. Thanks in advance for any ideas you guys might have. |
Re: Touch Pro Keyboard issue
Personally, I have not had this problem. How long have you had the phone? Hard reset would be the first thing I'd try, as you mentioned. I would also do a 30 day swap asap.

Well, I'd try the hard reset first and see where that gets you. Have you recently flashed a new ROM or installed any software?

I sure hope it doesn't start showing up more often. My alt/shift key LED's wouldn't light up either after my keyboard died... Still, try a hard reset if you have nothing else to lose! |

Re: Touch Pro Keyboard issue
Well...I tried a hard reset, and its still broken.
I called Sprint customer service this morning, and my new phone will be on its way soon. Of course its on back order, so it won't get shipped out for about 10 days. Thank god for the on screen keyboard. They wanted me to go to a Sprint repair center, but I explained that I am abotu a 2 hour drive from the nearest one, and the rep byp***** that step for me and went straight to sending me a new phone. I am glad this whole process was made as painless as possible. |

Hey madddoggj, my name is BJ DeHut and I am a representative for Sprint. I am sorry to hear your Touch Pro is on the fritz. If you haven’t already made the long trek to your Sprint store to fix this, then email me at BJD@sprint.com and I can forward it onto someone who might be able to fix this problem, but from the sounds of the other commenters on this thread, you may need a replacement.

I've been experiencing the same problem. I just did a hard reset and no keyboard. I don't even get the FN or Caps LED.
