that still doesn't help the fact that many vendors (HTC is good at it) hacks the heck out of WM so that developers have to work with MANY scenerios for software to work. Different resolutions, touch interfaces, etc.

Umm what? They create their own looks for it, but if done properly (as it is most of the time) no special considerations need to be made. Hell, most .NET stuff is even resolution independent these days. BAF MSL will work on QVGA and VGA automatically, I didn't do anything special to make it work at all.

I'm going off of posts that the WebIs.net CEO has written in his blog. iPhone development he says is much easier due to only one or two devices.

Apps like this that support one website are FOR iPhone users. The most technologically retarded people on the planet. If you have a WM phone you have to have half a brain to get it working. iPhones are for "special" people.

Not to mention the battery issues; I won't say it's as bad as some people's TPs, but working in wireless I hear a lot about poor battery life and many people come in looking for backup battery cases. We all could go on and on, but I'm sure iPhone forums are ranting about our lack of 3.5" screens or pocket bulk or something.

I see the point in apps like this. I use pocket outlook for my gmail account, but then I also install the Gmail java app as well. I could easily access it using my web browser, but the app is quicker. Same thing goes for Youtube, with Flashlite 3.1 you can watch youtube videos on your web browser, but you know as well as I do if you have one of the Youtube player apps floating around (or pre-installed on the Touch Pro), it's much quicker. I browse Craigslist all the time, usually on Opera Mini because it's so fast. I'd gladly use a Craigslist App if one was ever released (or ported).
