not documented, that I know, but thats what my phone does. assuming they are all the same pros should do the same unless you change the programming.

just talked to my friend at the sprint store he said, "If the wifi and data are on, the Pro will use the wifi for anything that uses internet. (not including texts, duh)"

That is what I noticed. If you try to use something like Sprint TV then it will tell you it wont work with WiFi and you have to turn that off and use the data.

I had a problem with my Treo 700wx. I would turn it on and Internet Explorer would be opened. So I changed the #777 number and it would fix itself. I had to change IE's homepage to nothing. But now I have the Sprint deal thanks to Mr. McGuire and I don't have to worry anymore.

I had both wifi and data connected and it wouldn't connect to Sprint TV. But if I turn wifi off it will. I wonder why it won't work with both enabled at the same time?

Email and everything go through wifi when wifi is on and connected. I can tell you this for a fact because I have about 1 bar of roaming 1x coverage at my house, and email/data is hella slow, but if I turn on wifi email is a lot faster.

That's because it uses the wifi for data, so sprinttv sees you connecting from a non-sprint IP. You have to be using a sprint IP to access sprint tv (so it can see whats on your account, make sure you're paying for it, etc).

Re: wifi and sprint data connection

It's not that hard to tell....

1) With WIFI off browse to www.whatismyip.com.

2) Then turn WIFI on and browse to the same address again. If the IPs are different then it is using the WIFI. You might need to close the browser before step 2.
