nice! doesn't overheat on long phone calls/data sessions, or have less sensitivity around the edges of the screen? (I assume so, but doesn't hurt to ask!) :)

Will get back to you after I use and abuse it tomorrow with a long day of WMWifiRouter, but compared to the original that I gave to my significant other, there is no physical defect at the moment.

Awesome! If this latest batch is not having issues, I might try to snag one at full-price. I sure as hell am not going to risk my upgrade on this phone, when I want the Pre, badly.

My first TP was from the original release on 10/26 so my first build was around 10/12 i guess. It had heating issues but i was fine with it. I only had it exchanged when i went to get a car charger and just happened to mention that my phone got warm. They offered me a new one out the blue so I said ok thinking the build might be better. It came in yesterday and i swapped it out. The first thing I noticed was when I did my SPB Backup it said that the ROM versions were different. I didnt mind to check my original ROM number but the new TP has 1.03.651.3. Ive also noticed that the screen is whiter in appearance, the keyboard doesnt scrape, the open/close had a nice snap to it now, the keyboard lights up brighter and more even (3 key is still brighter), and I swear i have a little more room to press the upper number keys. The issue that i really want to point out is the different ROM message i received from SPB. Can we also post some ROM versions now so we can see if they have actually changed it? Maybe they did some minor tweaking hopefully.

i have had this pro since november 11,2008(my 3rd) and my rom is 1.03.651.3.

Update on my RAPH800 manufactured 11.18.2008. Still flawlwss hardware-wise; still running stock rom, no hard reset besides unlocking it. Lots of registry tweaks, power consumption was way better than the DIAM500 out of the box. Only heats up when playing video, but that is to be expected of any GPU chipset on any platform when using hardware acceleration. Disabled ActiveSync power saving mode after finding it doesn't play nice with making a sync connection. Otherwise, your normal WinCE crashes here and there. Especially on December 31st for some reason.

So, I'm gonna try to slipstream a newer WinCE build into the stock Sprint ROM and re-add all my Reg tweaks, as I've heard good things about the 2100 series builds.
